Money in the Bank 2024: Sami vs Breakker, The Bloodline Trios Match Added
WWE has added two more matches to Money in the Bank 2024 PLE.
Sami Zayn will defend WWE Intercontinental Championship against Bron Breakker. Breakker asked for a title shot last week but was asked to deal with Sheamus first to earn the title shot. That match was interrupted by Ludwig Kaiser who attacked Sheamus. Breakker also speared Kaiser in frustration.
Breakker then faced Kaiser this week on RAW, but it was Sheamus who retaliated against Kaiser this time around. Breakker responded to this with a spear on Sheamus before asking Adam Pearce to get things under control. As he asked for IC title shot once again, Sami was standing just behind him and accepted a title defense. Pearce made the match official for Money in the Bank.
Also announced is a trios match where Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens and Randy Orton will take on The Bloodline 2.0. However, which three member of the Bloodline will compete was not cleared. The new Bloodline has Solo Sikoa, Tanga Loa, Tama Tonga and Jacob Fatu.
Solo finally made a move against Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes at Clash at the Castle with an attack from The Bloodline. However, Kevin Owens and Randy Orton were quick come out to help Cody that night. This trio once again on top with Solo cornered on SmackDown last Friday when Jacob Fatu debuted to take down the babyfaces single-handedly.
WWE Money in the Bank 2024 event is set to take place on July 6 in Toronto, Canada. Apart from the two MITB ladder matches, World Heavyweight Championship match between Damian Priest and Seth Rollins is also set for the event.
