Welcome to the results page for NJPW Dominion 6.9 2024 event, which will be live from Osaka-Jo Hall in Osaka, Japan.

The event has double main event matches with the final of Best of Super Juniors 31 edition going last on the show between El Desperado and Taiji Ishimori. The duo ended up at the top of Block A and Block B, respectively, before winning their semifinals.

The other main event is Jon Moxley defending IWGP World Heavyweight Champioinship against Evil. Shingo Takagi is set to defend NEVER Openweight title against Henare in another exciting clash. Both Strong Openweight tag team titles and IWGP Tag Team titles will be on the line in a 4-way tag team match.

Jeff Cobb will defend NJPW TV title against Tomohiro Ishii. NEVER 6-Man title and KOPW 2024 title matches are also on the card. Tune in below from 3 AM ET for the results live from NJPW Dominion 2024

RESULTS

Tetsuya Naito vs Callum Newman

Newman caught Naito on the ropes during his entrance before hitting him with a moonsault on the floor. Naito tried to counter a whip but Newman hit back with a dropkick immediately. Newman had to take Naito into the ring to start the match. Naito sent him to the apron and hit a back elbow and a neckbreaker to get back control. Naito put a submission after stomping on him back in the ring. Newman tried to fight out of a neck crack with punches to ribs, but it was his pace off the ropes which helped him catch Naito with a big boot. He hit a penalty kick to the chest to get a two-count.

Naito countered with an avalanche frankestiener. Newman countered with a Spanish Fly before getting a near fall. Naito ran into an elbow after his springboard DDT was blocked. Naito hit a running Destino but Newman kicked out. After this though, Newman started fading. Naito hit elbows to his neck which woke up Newman who replied with some forearms. Naito then hit Destino to get the pinfall. Tetsuya Naito def. Callum Newman.

TMDK (Kosei Fujita, Robbie Eagles & Zack Sabre Jr.) vs Bullet Club Wardogs(Clark Connors & Drilla Moloney) & LJ Cleary

Fujita and Connors started the match with big shots. Wardogs went for big moves early but TMDK countered them. TMDK took quick tags before changing positions continuously on a three-way submission move on Connors. Eagles was distracted by Moloney with an ankle pick to allow Connors to tackle him. Cleary tagged in to take over for his team and knocked off Sabre off the apron a few times. Eagles went toe to toe with Moloney when he tagged in. Fujita came in with a hot tag against Connors to hit a big kick and chop. Connors countered with a back body drop. Cleary hit Fujita with a pump kick but Fujita hit back with chops.

Cleary once again took a cheat shot at Sabre. Sabre then asked for a tag and battered Cleary with signature uppercuts before a neck crank. Cleary tried to fight back but Sabre put him in a cross-arm breaker. Wardogs had to come in to break the pinfall which broke the match. Cleary and Sabre traded counters in the ring while other started fighting on the floor. Cleary nearly got a pinfall with a crucifix while Sabre also had a near fall with a victory roll. Sabre then hit Cleary with German suplex, a kick and Zack driver to get the pinfall. TMDK (Kosei Fujita, Robbie Eagles & Zack Sabre Jr.) defeated Bullet Club Wardogs(Clark Connors & Drilla Moloney) & LJ Cleary.

Yuya Uemura (c) vs Great-O-Khan – Stormcatch Rules Match for KOPW 2024 Championship

Rules of the match are – no strikes allowed – only submission, suplexes and slams allowed. Only two rope breaks are allowed. Uemura started with a backdrop suplex and immediately put O-Khan in a cross-arm breaker. O-Khan had to use one of his ropebreaks to survive. O-Khan bite Uemura who then countered an arm choke with a judo takedown. But O-Khan kept the choke on and Uemura had to use his ropebreak also. O-Khan then hit a suplex. Uemura hit an armdrag before snapping O-Khan’s arm. He slammed the arm to the mat for more pressure on it. He followed up with a body slam while holding onto the arm in a stretch. O-Khan resorted to biting again. They started some chain wrestling until Great-O-Khan got a takedown. Uemura got a near fall with a crucifix.

Uemura threw O-Khan over the top rope with a back body drop, which also meant that O-Khan’s second ropebreak was also utilized. O-Khan only returned to the ring at 19 count. He escaped an armbar with an armdrag before hitting an Urinage to get a two-count. O-Khan put on a choke again. He went for a slam but Uemura countered by putting him in cross-arm breaker. O-Khan went near the ropes but the referee reminded that he was out of ropebreaks. O-Khan then came out of the lock with a bridge. O-Khan hit a snap dragon suplex before hitting Super Eliminator to get the pinfall. Great-O-Khan defeated Yuya Uemera to win KOPW 2024 Championship.

Boltin Oleg, Toru Yano & Hiroshi Tanahashi(c) vs Los Ingobernables De Japon (BUSHI, Hiromu Takahashi & Yota Tsuji) – NEVER Openweight 6 Man Tag team Championships Match

Tsuji demanded Tanahashi to start against him. They went back and forth briefly before Tsuji himself tagged out. Yano tagged in and tried to hulk up but was taken down with a double team move from Takahashi and Bushi. LIJ kept control over Yano for a while as they kept it fresh with tags. Yano hit an atomic drop on Takahashi. Oleg got the tag and hit big tackles on Takahashi and Tsuji. Oleg continued to be in control with big moves on Tsuji and other inteferring opponents. Tsuji countered with a stomp before hitting a suplex to get a two-count. They traded forearms before Oleg hit a dropkick and tagged in Tanahashi who continued the hot streak.

Yano took Takahashi to the floor. Tsuji countered with a big kick. He was getting ready for his finisher when Yano pulled his leg. Tanahashi hit Tsuji with a slingblade. Oleg hit Takahashi and BUSHI with a running tackle to take them to the floor. Tsuji avoided a double stomp from the top from Tanahashi and hit a spear to get the pinfall. Los Ingobernables De Japon (BUSHI, Hiromu Takahashi & Yota Tsuji) defeated Boltin Oleg, Toru Yano & Hiroshi Tanahashi to win NEVER 6-Man Tag Team Championship.

Boltin Oleg got into Tsuji’s face and asked him for a singles match. Tsuji did not respond and went on to celebrate with Takahashi and BUSHI. Oleg came back into the ring and got into Tsuji again asking for a match. Tsuji refused to acknowledge it.

Jeff Cobb (c) vs Tomohiro Ishii – NJPW World Television Championship Match

They started with no-sell tackles until Cobb was able to knock Ishii down. Ishii replied with a forearm before Cobb hit a crossbody tackle as Ishii came off the ropes. Cobb stood on Ishii’s back. Ishii countered in the corner. He failed to hit a suplex, though, and Cobb knocked him down with another tackle. Ishii hit chops. Cobb invited more of that. He hit a jumping elbow on Ishii in the corner. Cobb toyed with Ishii when he was down. Ishii no-sold Cobb’s forearms before hitting a delayed vertical suplex. Cobb replied with a German suplex.

The referee checked on Ishii as he held his neck. Cobb then hit a superplex after this. Ishii hulked up and dropped Cobb. But, it was Cobb who got to his feet first. Ishii hit a back suplex after hulking up again. Cobb hit a belly-to-belly throw. Ishii got up quickly only to be put down with a lariat from Cobb for a near fall. Cobb replied to punches with a headbutt. Cobb hit a standing moonsault to get a near fall. Ishii hit a clothesline and a leg lariat before another clothesline, but Cobb kicked out at one itself. Cobb hit an Urinage and a hammer and sickle. Ishii also kicked out at one. Ishii landed a big shot to drop Cobb.

Ishii took a breather before hitting a sliding lariat to get a two-count. Cobb blocked a brainbuster before a series of counters until Cobb hit a dropkick. 10 minutes out 15 had passed before Cobb hit F-5000 for a near fall. They traded blows before Cobb hit a spin cycle. Ishii replied with a headbutt. He countered a powerbomb with a hurricanrana. Cobb kicked out after a lariat. Cobb blocked brainbuster again and hit his finisher body slam to get the pinfall. Jeff Cobb defeated Tomohiro Ishii to retain NJPW TV Championship.


An announcement was made for G1 Climax 34 tournament which would return to 20 participants format this year. 18 participants would be announced at All Together event while the other 2 would be determined via qualifiers.

Guerrillas of Destiny (El Phantasmo & Hikuleo)(Strong Openweight) vs. Bullet Club (Kenta & Chase Owens) (IWGP) vs. TMDK (Mikey Nicholls & Shane Haste) vs. Bishamon (Hirooki Goto & Yoshi-Hashi) – IWGP Tag Team Championship & Strong Openweight Tag Team Championship Match

Bishamon went after Bullet Club duo as they went to the floor. The other two teams started fighting in the ring. GoD took over control against TMDK with double team moves. Bishamon came in to send Hikuleo to the floor before working on El Phantasmo. TMDK then teamed up to take over from Bishamon. Bullet Club threw them out and kept working on Yoshi-Hashi. They kept kicking everyone out of the ring for a while as they worked on Yoshi-Hashi. ELP then came in but was quickly worked to the corner by Bullet Club.

Hikuleo finally ran over them with a double clothesline. Hikuleo kept beating up everyone who came into the ring. ELP took everyone out on the outside with a springboard moonsault. ELP hit a superkick to send Haste into Hikuleo. Haste blocked a chokeslam as ELP tried to keep everyone out. Haste then ducked a superkick from ELP which hit Hikuleo. TMDK hit Hikuleo with a double team DDT to get the pinfall to eliminate GoD.

Bullet Club used a schoolboy pin for a near fall on TMDK as they were busy mocking GoD. On the floor, Hikuleo and ELP were arguing. Gado had to play peacemaker. Kenta beat Haste up in the ring while Owens worked on Nicholls. Haste was finally thrown out before Nicholls was cornered for some double team. Hirooki Goto came in and got beat up initially, but he fought back. Goto blocked a package piledriver but Owens nailed him with an enzuigiri. Goto blocked C-Trigger before Yoshi-Hashi came in for double team work on Owens. Kenta was thrown out before Bishamon hit their finisher on Owens to get the pinfall to eliminate Bullet Club.

Haste fought Goto in the ring while Nicholls took on Yoshi-Hashi on the floor. Goto hit a backdrop suplex for a near fall. Yoshi-Hashi came back in to block Haste’s comeback attempt. Nicholls also came in, and threw Yoshi-Hashi to the floor. TMDK hit Goto with double team superplex but Yoshi-Hashi broke the pin. Bishamon were about to hit their finisher on Haste but Nicholls broke it. The back-and-forth action continued for a while. TMDK hit Tank Buster but the pin was broken. They hit Tank Buster for the second time to get the pinfall and win the match. TMDK won the fatal 4-way tornado tag team match to win IWGP Tag Team Championship and NJPW Strong Tag Team Championship.

Shingo Takagi (c) vs Henare – NEVER Openweight Championship Match

Hard hitting start from both men. Takagi cornered Henare and hit several jabs. Henare started to hulk up and no-sold the last few punches. He blocks shoulder tackles before hitting some headbutts. He brought Takagi to the mat before kicking at his back. Takagi ate a kick to the chest before exploding with a shoulder tackle. They went into a battle of headbutts again where Henare came on the top. Takagi countered a jumping knee with a pop-up powerbomb. Henare replied with a knee.

The hard hitting continued from both men. Takagi hit a DDT. Henare hit back with a big tackle. After a while, Henare hit a big sidekick to knock Takagi down. They got to trading sidekicks(Henare) and chops(Takagi). Henare’s brought Takagi down but he quickly replied with a lariat to turn Henare inside out. Takagi continue to nail forearms before hitting another lariat. He softened up Henare with slaps and elbows. Henare hit back with Maori Drop but could not get to cover Takagi. He hit the Justice Knee next. Takagi hit him with a slam but could not get to cover.

This was followed by more back-and-forth action. Henare hit several slaps. Takagi dropped him with a big forearm. Henare hit a headbutt when Takagi picked him up. Henare dropped Takagi with the hammer head. Both men are down. The referee started the count down and neither one of them could get up by 10-count. This ended in a draw.

After the bell, Henare rolled out of the ring and picked up the title. Henare was then told that the title did not change hands. Takagi was checked by the medical team.

Jon Moxley (c) vs Evil – Lumberjack Match for IWGP World Heavyweight Championship Match

Evil came out with House of Torture. He sprayed Black paint on one of the owner of NJPW who was sitting near the commentary table. Jon Moxley came out and had to fight HoT in the crowd itself. A brawl breaks out on the floor between The Third Generation of NJPW and HoT. The referee had to ask Moxley and Evil to get into the ring to start the match.

They fought in the ring for a while before Evil threw Moxley to the floor. Moxley fought HoT singlehandedly before taking Evil into the crowd. He used a chair to punish Evil. Moxley worked on Evil back in the ring. Evil sent him to the apron and knocked him into the barricade. HoT beat up Moxley. The Third Generation went to free up Moxley. Evil choked Moxley with a T-shirt. He hit some chops before feeding Moxley to the lumberjacks once again. He put a leg lock after this.

Mox blocked a superplex and raked Evil’s back before dropping him to the mat with headbutts. They traded forearms for a couple of minutes after this. Moxley unleashed with elbow and chops. Evil hit him with a clothesline in the corner. Mox replied with a lariat. He hit a piledriver to get a near fall. Evil rolled out to the floor for a breather. HoT protected him from The Third Generation but Moxley hit them with suicide dive. Mox then slammed Evil with a belt on his chest and back. Mox brought out a table next. Dick Togo threw powder in Moxley’s eyes to block a powerbomb. Evil put a chair across Mox’s neck before hitting it with another chair.

Back in the ring, Evil hit a superplex. He put on the anaconda Vice on Mox. Mox got to his feet and put on a choke. Evil tickled the referee. The referee went to slap Evil, but caught Mox with it. As Mox got mad at the referee, Evil took advantage by hitting Death Valley Driver to get a near fall. Mox no-sold lariats from Evil before hitting a German suplex and put on a crossface. A fight broke out between the lumberjacks, and they ultimately got into the ring.

Togo choked Mox with a belt. Nagata then saved Mox before before The Third Generation put HoT in submission moves. Tigermask hit Togo with a suicide dive. Sho hit everyone on The Third Generation with a push up bar. He hit a low blow on Mox with the bar. Evil and HoT hit Mox with a powerbomb through a table. Evil hit Deathrider on Mox but Mox kicked out. Mox countered Evil-No to hit the move himself. Mox then picked up a barbed wire bat from under the ring. He took out all the members of HoT with it.

Evil hit him with a pen into the eyes. Mox ducked a shot from the bat and hit a cutter. Mox hit Evil with the wired bat before hitting a curbstomp and Deathrider on top of it to get the pinfall. Jon Moxley defeated Evil to retain IWGP World Heavyweight Championship.

Moxley took the mic after the match and asked who would face him at Forbidden Door. Tetsuya Naito came out to accept his challenge.

El Desperado vs. Taiji Ishimori – Best of the Super Jr. Final Match

A quick scramble to start the match. El Desperado tried to work on the knees but Ishimori quickly shut him down and sent him to the floor with a hurricanrana. He followed up with a moonsault on the floor. Ishimori worked on the arm after Desperado beat the count. He put on a choke while controlling the arm. Desperado pushed him to the corner and nailed Ishimori with an elbow. Ishimori slammed his arm into the turnbuckle and then to the mat. Desperado came back with a back suplex and a tope suicida.

Back to the ring, Desperado hit a corner lariat and a vertical suplex. He hit a hurricanrana to counter before Ishimori hit a sliding German suplex. Ishimori hit Cipher UTAKI next. Ishimori missed double knees in the corner but he soon managed to send Desperado into the exposed turnbuckle. He dropped Desperado on his shoulder to further work on it. Desperado attempted a Numero Dos but Ishimori came out of it quickly to hit a spinebuster. Desperado hit a knee breaker but Ishimori blocked Numero Dos once again. Ishimori snapped Desperado’s shoulder once again and went for the Bone lock. Desperado quickly scrambled toward the ropes but Ishimori rolled him over into the middle.

Desperado slowly went towards the ropes. Ishimori attempted to roll him back to the middle but Desperado turned it into Numero Dos this time. Ishimori struggled for a while but he was able to turn it into a sunset flip. As they reset, Ishimori ended up hitting a low blow behind the referee’s back, but Desperado kicked out of the clutch pin. Desperado dropped Ishimori with a big hook. They traded big shots after another reset. Ishimori dropped Desperado ultimately but he quickly recovered to hit a big elbow. Ishimori hit him with a jumping knee.

Desperado hit a Olympic Slam and a spear. He hit Pince Loco next to get a near fall. Ishimori blocked the second Pince Loco and kicked him in the face. He dropped Desperado with a modified slam but could not get the pinfall. Desperado then sent him into the exposed turnbuckle and hit Pince Loco. He hit another Pince Loco to get the pinfall. El Desperado defeated Taiji Ishimori in the final of Best of Super Juniors 31.
