NXT Heatwave 2024 Card: Fatal 4-Way Title Match & More Added
Several matches are added to WWE NXT Heatwave 2024 card.
NXT Championship match was earlier a singles match between Trick Williams and Je’von Evans at Heatwave. However, Evans was pinned by Ethan Page last week. As it happened, Williams also lost to Shawn Spears this week on NXT after he was hit by the announce table during a commotion involving Brooks Jensen on the floor.
NXT General Manager Ava was faced with the dilemna of how Evans was the #1 contender after winning the Battle Royal last week, but Page had a win over him and Spears had a win over Trick himself. Resultingly, Ava announced that a fatal 4-way match will take place between all these competitors at Heatwave.
NXT North American Champion Oba Femi earlier accepted a title match against Wes Lee. That match was also confirmed for Heatwave.
Things intensified between Lola Vice and NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez this week when Lola hit back at Roxanne with a backfist and took away the title with her. Roxanne later went to Ava to complain about the title being stolen, but Ava responded with booking a match between them.
A tag team turmoil took place this week on NXT where Chase U’s Andre Chase and Duke Hudson came out on the victorious side beating The Good Brothers, Legado Del Fantasma, New Catch Republic and Malik Blade & Edris Enofe.
Kelani Jordan vs Sol Ruca match for Women’s North American Championship is also set for the show. Heatwave 2024 takes place on July 7.
