WWE SmackDown August 18: Edge-Sheamus, Rey Mysterio Segment Set
WWE has added Edge vs Sheamus match and Rey Mysterio as a special guest at Grayson Waller Effect show to August 18, 2023, episode of SmackDown.
During the August 11 episode of SmackDown, Edge made a surprise appearance, although he was not scheduled for the show. Edge mentioned his desire to enhance the significance of the August 18 SmackDown episode in Toronto, aiming to make it more exceptional than just his return to his hometown. Edge Challenged Sheamus for a one-on-one match.
Edge also mentioned that in his career, he has not fought Sheamus in a one-on-one match. Edge called Sheamus, and Sheamus entered the scene alongside his members from The Brawling Brutes stable.

Both Sheamus and Edge talked about their memories. Following their conversation, Sheamus agreed to the match, and subsequently, WWE officially scheduled the match to take place on the August 18 episode of SmackDown. Moreover, in the same episode, Edge is also set to celebrate his 25th anniversary.
The new United States Champion, Rey Mysterio, is also scheduled for the August 18 episode of SmackDown, where he will appear as a guest on the Grayson Waller Effect show. Rey Mysterio defeated Austin Theory to become the new United States Champion at August 11 episode of SmackDown.
